Kohler Co. Announces Key Leadership Appointments At Three WI Hotel Properties
KOHLER, WI—Kohler Hospitality & Real Estate, part of Kohler Co., a leading manufacturer of kitchen and bath plumbing products, is pleased to announce the appointments of two general managers at its three Wisconsin hotel properties. Rubén Cambero Sedano assumes the role of general manager of The American Club resort-hotel and Inn on Woodlake boutique property in Kohler, WI, and Shawn Dortman, becomes the general manager of LODGE KOHLER, the AAA Four Diamond hotel in the heart of Titletown in Green Bay, WI, just steps from historic Lambeau Field.

Rubén Cambero Sedano, General Manager of The American Club and Inn on Woodlake:
Hospitality runs through Rubén’s veins. Ruben entered the industry at a young age, and spent 12-years working at the Hotel el Peregrino, in Navarra, Spain; his family’s historic hotel, which he helped transform into a Relais & Châteaux property. Mastering every role at the hotel including general manager, Rubén moved to the United States in 2014 and in the past six-years has held leadership roles at Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel in Taneytown, MD; and the Inn at Dos Brisas in Brenham, Texas, where he led the team and was integral in re-earning the property’s Forbes Five-Star rating. For the past three years, Rubén was general manager at the award-winning MacArthur Place Hotel and Spa in Sonoma, CA, where he oversaw extensive renovations.
Ruben earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Universidad Europea de Madrid in Spain as well as attending Uppsala University in Sweden. He holds a master certificate in hotel revenue management from Cornell University.
Shawn Dortman, General Manager of LODGE KOHLER:
Shawn’s longstanding tenure with Kohler Co. spans 23-years, beginning in the Kitchen and Bath business. A Wisconsin native, Shawn’s career started in healthcare and her constant dedication to service has continued throughout. Committed to superb client relations, Shawn was recruited to Kohler Hospitality and most recently served as resident manager of The American Club and Inn on Woodlake. Here, she oversaw renovations on-time and on-budget, and ensured retention of the iconic American Club’s AAA Five Diamond rating as well as its Forbes Five-Star accolade. An engaging and passionate leader, Shawn is known as a coach and mentor, and leader in culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Shawn holds a master certificate in hospitality management from Cornell University.
