Highgate Appoints New Global Executive of Sales & Luxury Experience for Hawaii Region

HONOLULU, HI – Highgate announced Thursday that Chi Hoon Bang has been appointed as Global Executive, Sales & Luxury Experience for the Hawaii region. In his new role, Bang will be responsible for the overall strategic sales leadership and initiatives for the Asia-Pacific region and luxury leisure segments for Highgate’s portfolio in Hawai’i. 

A seasoned sales and marketing professional with more than 27 years of experience, Bang has extensive experience leading global sales and marketing efforts and overseeing successful leisure sales programs. He most recently served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani, where he oversaw sales strategies for all markets including the U.S., Oceania and Asia. Prior, Bang served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Waikiki Parc Hotel. He has held sales and marketing roles throughout Hawaii with properties including Halekulani, Asia Pacific Land, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii, Westin Maui Resort, Sheraton Waikiki, The Royal Hawaiian and more.  

Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Bang holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. Originally from Korea, Bang is fluent in English, Japanese and Korean.
