Remington Hotels Appoints Pam Colpoys as Vice President of Risk Management

Remington Hotels has welcomed Pam Colpoys as Vice President of Risk Management, the company announced on Thursday. Joining the Remington team from parent company, Ashford Inc., Colpoys brings over 20 years experience to her new role and will be responsible for managing claims and litigation to assess, identify, and mitigate risks that could impede the safety, security, reputation, or financial success of the company.

Her industry experience will help guide and ensure that all protocols, strategies, and procedures are implemented, making a positive impact on our associates and external partners.”

As Vice President of Risk Management, Colpoys will develop, lead, and implement training programs for subsidiary and portfolio companies ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and internal best practices to reduce the organization’s risk-related costs, according to a press release. She will also be responsible for directing the company’s worker compensation, property, casualty, errors and omissions insurance, and EPLI/crime programs through risk identification, mitigation, prevention, and transfer.

During her time at Ashford, Colpoys collaborated with industry partners on new and developing risks for the protection of ownership’s financial interests and was responsible for insurance policy evaluation to ensure risks were adequately evaluated, transferred, and/or managed internally. Prior to joining Ashford, Colpoys held risk management roles at Omni Hotels and Harold’s Stores. Colpoys has a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and holds the Associate in Risk Management certification from Risk and Insurance Management Society where she has been an active participant and has held several board positions during her time with the organization.
