The Resort At Pelican Hill Welcomes Gilbert as GM

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Five-star, five-diamond The Resort at Pelican Hill has announced in a press release the appointment of General Manager Shannon Gilbert.
She brings more than three decades of leadership, vision, and passion for service to her new role, where she is responsible for shepherding the resort into a new era of refined modernity as the property transitions into a St. Regis flagship in 2027.
With an extensive background and comprehensive operational expertise, Gilbert’s career in sales and marketing includes overseeing notable properties within The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott portfolio. Additional notable hospitality experiences include serving as hotel manager at two of L.A.’s most dynamic and event-driven properties: The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles and the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE. She currently serves on the boards of Visit Greater Palm Springs and California State University San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus.

The Resort at Pelican Hill will embark on its renaissance beginning December 1, 2025 — a transformation that will start with enhancements to the Coliseum Pool & Grill; the renewed Coliseum Pool experience is expected to welcome guests by spring 2026.
