DENVER – Tom Luersen, president of CoralTree Hospitality, today announced that the company is expanding its collection of hotels and resorts in Colorado with the addition of Hotel Columbia in Telluride, according to a press release. The company currently manages three properties in Colorado including Magnolia Hotel Denver, The Eddy Taproom & Hotel in Golden and The Hotel at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, which is scheduled to open in 2024.

The 21-room Hotel Columbia sits in the heart of downtown Telluride. The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the free gondola that provides access to Mountain Village and the ski resort. The property offers several room configurations including 13 suites, a selection of penthouse suites and two hot tubs. The hotel offers on-site ski storage for guests with boot dryers.

Hotel Columbia is also home to COSMOpolitan. The restaurant is listed in the Zagat guide and has earned the Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence” every year since 1998.

“We are honored to have been selected to manage Hotel Columbia,” said Luersen. “Our company’s roots go back to the development and management of The Gant in Aspen and, since then, we’ve managed several properties at seasonal mountain resorts. Telluride is a great destination for skiing and snowboarding in the winter and summers provide endless opportunities for adventure.”

The leadership team at CoralTree previously managed two other properties in the area including Mountain Lodge at Telluride and The Hotel Telluride.
