NEW YORK, NY – M Social Hotel Times Square New York announced Monday the appointment of its new Director of Food & Beverage, Yev Romanoff. In this new role, Romanoff will direct and oversee all aspects of the hotel’s food and beverage planning and service, with duties including menu planning and costs, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and planning, coordinating and overseeing special events, according to a press release.
Romanoff brings over 20 years of experience to the hospitality industry. He began his career in Miami, working as the Director of Food & Beverage Operations for Carnival Corporation in the luxury division for 10 years. During this time, he eventually became the youngest Hotel Director in the company.
Romanoff’s career brought him to New York City in 2010, where over the next 13 years he worked for notable restaurants and hotels such as Hendrick’s Tavern, The William Vale, and Scotto Brothers Restaurant Group. While holding these positions, Romanoff was required to lead all sites and over ten restaurants at once, along with new ownership and location transitions at select establishments.
“I am thrilled to be joining Highgate,” said Romanoff. “I am positive that we will not only reach high results, but also have fun working together in this exhilarating environment bursting with energy.”
Most notably, Romanoff will oversee all operations at Beast & Butterflies, the hotel’s vibrant bar and lounge perched above Times Square, boasting unobstructed views of the city. Nestled in an intimate yet approachable setting, guests of Beast & Butterflies can indulge in light bites and a highly curated cocktail menu overseen by Romanoff whilst eying New York City’s sparkle on a 7,500-square-foot wrap around terrace adjacent to an indoor glass perch.
“With our incredible partnership with TableOne Hospitality in place, and Romanoff’s new position, we will ensure that M Social is the go-to destination in Times Square,”
General Manager of M Social Hotel Times Square, William Van Wassenhove, shared.
