February 8, 2023

ATLANTA – Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta, an upscale boutique hotel located steps from Lenox Square, has appointed Philipp Martens as director of restaurants, bars & events and Sergii Chepko as assistant director of food and beverage. In their roles, Martens and Chepko will manage the hotel’s food and beverage division including Spaceman, the rooftop bar and lounge, and Three Arches, the hotel’s signature dining experience.

Located on the 15th floor of the hotel, Spaceman features simple, delicious, and shareable dishes along with craft cocktails. The thoughtfully curated space includes an expansive bar in front of floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as two outdoor terraces with lounge seating, yard games, and stunning views of the Atlanta skyline. Three Arches, the recently opened restaurant located on the first floor of the hotel, is named from one of the interior’s focal points, the three arches that reside behind the stunning bar. The restaurant is a celebration of the pan-Mediterranean culinary tradition, embracing fresh ingredients of exceptional quality and bright flavors that allow them to shine.

“We are thrilled to have Philipp Martens and Sergii Chepko join our food and beverage leadership team,” notes Kristi Cotten-Morris, general manager of Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta. “Both are industry veterans with impressive experience, and we are confident their combined expertise will take both Spaceman and Three Arches to the next level.”

Philipp Martens is an accomplished hotelier in the luxury, business and leisure segments. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Martens has worked at industry-leading hotels. He began his career at Caesar Park Hotel in Panama before moving to New York City to work in luxury hotels including the Hyatt Grand Central New York and then on to the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort. Martens obtained a degree in business administration and hospitality management from Glion Institute of Higher Education, known as one of the world’s finest hospitality management schools. His goal for guests visiting Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta is for them to experience Buckhead’s unique, storied legacy and Hyatt’s world-renowned guest service.

Sergii Chepko has worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years, growing his career with Hyatt hotels at properties including Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas, Hyatt Regency Tashkent and Grand Hyatt Atlanta before joining the Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta team. He began his career as the restaurant and microbrewery director at Pivna Duma, a new concept microbrewery and restaurant in Ukraine. Chepko plans to bring his multicultural and widespread experience to ensure guests receive exceptional service at the hotel’s dining outlets.
