May 25, 2023

ATLANTA – Hunter Hotel Advisors (HUNTER) announced the sale of four Hilton-branded assets throughout Huntsville and Auburn/Opelika, Alabama. Tim Osborne and Trey Scott, Senior Vice Presidents of HUNTER, advised the institutional seller.

Together, the portfolio provides 361 rooms in high-growth markets across northern and central Alabama, according to a press release. The Home2 Suites Madison Huntsville Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Madison are centrally located between the Huntsville International Airport and Town Madison, a new mixed-use development. Just a thirty-minute drive from Huntsville, the Home2 Suites Decatur Ingalls Harbor sits along the Port of Decatur, one of the busiest ports on the Tennessee River and drives heavy corporate demand from industrial and manufacturing companies. Traveling south, the Home2 Suites Opelika Auburn resides within “Tiger Town,” which serves as the stomping grounds at Auburn University, skyrocketing demand to the area with events such as football games, graduation, family weekend, Greek life events, and many more.

“This transaction is an investment in Huntsville and Auburn/Opelika, some of the fastest growing economic areas of the country, with a portfolio of newly built, majority extended-stay, Hilton-branded hotels,” said Tim Osborne, Senior Vice President of HUNTER.
