Aimbridge Hospitality has appointed marketing and communications executive Stephanie Peterson to its newly created senior executive role of Head of Marketing & Communications, according to a press release.

Peterson will oversee all marketing and communications duties at Aimbridge Hospitality, including working directly with Aimbridge President & CEO Michael J. “As we look at positioning Aimbridge Hospitality for future growth, we’re pleased to welcome Stephanie to our senior leadership team and have her lead the charge in defining and shaping our unique and compelling story,” Deitemeyer said. “Having built successful internal and external strategies at some of the world’s most iconic consumer-facing companies, Stephanie will bring a valuable approach to how we think about marketing and communications in our business going forward. In this newly created, critical role, she will serve as a key business partner as we advance our global agenda in unifying and amplifying the industry-leading work we’re doing with our owners and associates.”

Peterson brings more than 20 years of experience in consumer and corporate communications, marketing, and B2B strategies. Most recently, she served as Head of Communications – North America for Kraft Heinz, where she designed the communications strategy and led all internal communications, corporate communications and brand public relations for the U.S. and Canada, the company’s largest Zone.

Prior to Kraft Heinz, Peterson was recruited as the first Head of Communications for IHOP Restaurants, where she oversaw corporate, franchisee, employee, community relations, and brand public relations, including leading award-winning earned media campaigns such as IHOb. Earlier in her career, Peterson also held leadership roles in communications and marketing at KIND Snacks, PepsiCo, and The Dow Chemical Company.

“Aimbridge Hospitality is a champion of innovation and leadership, certainly within the hospitality industry, but also beyond, and I’m excited to help tell the stories that showcase the people and actions the company is taking that lead the way,” said Peterson. “I look forward to collaborating with our strong executive and management teams, as well as our owners, associates and communities across the globe as we design and implement marketing and communications strategies that enhance their Aimbridge Hospitality experience and set us up for sustained growth.”

Peterson joins a number of recent senior-level hires added to the Aimbridge Hospitality team over the last year, including Mark Tamis, President, Operations; Allison Reid, Chief Global Growth Officer; and Mark Chloupek, Chief Legal Officer, and Patrick Volz, Chief Operating Officer, Global Operations.
