June 22, 2026

RIO GRANDE, PUERTO RICO — Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico has appointed Morty Valldejuli to serve as managing director and Gabriel Armando Emanuelli to serve as director of sales and marketing.

The two executives bring more than 50 years of combined hospitality experience to the 579-key resort, with backgrounds that include Caribbean hotels, branded properties and independent hotels.

Valldejuli has spent more than two decades leading hotels across the Caribbean and the United States. His appointment also marks a return to Puerto Rico, where he spent part of his early life and attended the University of Sacred Heart in San Juan.

Most recently, Valldejuli served as the inaugural managing director of Hotel Bourré Bonne in Louisville. He previously spent more than 15 years with Pyramid Global Hospitality, where he led several properties in the company’s portfolio.

Emanuelli brings 25 years of sales, marketing and hospitality experience in Puerto Rico. His previous roles include positions with Westin Río Mar Beach Resort, Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort, Hyatt Regency Cerromar Beach Resort and Hotel Rumbao San Juan.

He is a CMP and Certified Destination Specialist and has served in tourism industry board leadership roles. In his new position, Emanuelli will oversee sales and marketing for the resort, including its leisure and group business segments.

The appointments come shortly after Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico was acquired by Henderson Park, an international private equity real estate firm, in a joint venture with Pyramid Global Hospitality as operating partner. The acquisition marked both companies’ first investment in Puerto Rico.

Located about 19 miles from San Juan, Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico sits on a protected oceanfront peninsula near the El Yunque rainforest. The resort includes 579 guest rooms, suites and villas, including 93 Villas en la Reserva. Amenities include several pools, a secluded beach, a spa, a 27-hole golf course designed by Tom Kite, 17 food and beverage outlets and an indoor Topgolf suite.
