Owned by Bullwhip Capital and JMI Realty — who are also behind Santa Fe’s El Rey Court — the 128-room property brings a strong community-oriented spirit to the city with public spaces inspired by Santa Fe’s landscape, history, and culture, including a music venue, bar and lounge, outdoor pool and hot tub, and direct access to BLM land.

With interior design led by French & French Interiors, every aspect of the property, which was built in 1976 and formerly The Lodge at Santa Fe, has been transformed to reflect a modern interpretation of Santa Fe style. Warm wood tones greet guests in the lobby, which also houses a curated retail and merch shop offering branded items such as vintage inspired tees, local artisan wares, and travel essentials like first aid kits and pocket watercolor sets.

Located near downtown, Hotel Glorieta offers access to cultural attractions like the Loretto Chapel, Santa Fe Opera, and Santa Fe Plaza, alongside the city’s arts and dining scene. Its name draws inspiration from the surrounding landscape and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, which the property overlooks and provides direct access to.

“Santa Fe has long inspired us with its depth of culture, history, and creative spirit,” said Bullwhip Capital Partner Jeff Burns. “With Hotel Glorieta, we’re honored to grow in a city where every street tells a story, and to create a place that invites both travelers and locals to experience that narrative in a thoughtful and lasting way.”

This includes The Marigold Room, an intimate hub for live entertainment which hosts local bands and national touring acts alike. Outdoors, the Leisure Club features an outdoor pool and hot tub on a refreshed pool deck, while a barrel sauna will be installed shortly. The nearby Pool Bar offers refreshing margaritas, frozen cocktails, wine, beer, and light snacks. Guests also enjoy access to the fitness center and nearby BLM hiking trails, in addition to yoga classes, with future community programming plans such as fireside history and stargazing chats, which will further connect travelers to Santa Fe’s cultural and natural landscape.

Each of the 128 guest rooms and suites highlight the hotel’s original architectural character with black vigas, a hallmark of Southwestern-style design. Rough-hewn ceiling beams and modern Southwestern-style rugs are paired with pine furniture that was preserved and elevated to create a contemporary and moody palette that reflects the artistic roots of Santa Fe. Rooms now feature rich smoky green walls, while suites boast a deep taupe color, offering wood-burning fireplaces, jetted tubs, four-poster king beds, wet bars, and private balconies with views of the surrounding mountains. Select suites also include Casita-style entrances separate from the main hotel.

Lady Duff’s Lounge, the new lounge and cocktail bar, is named for Lady Duff Twysden, the muse behind Brett Ashley in Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. Drawing inspiration from the city’s rich folk art heritage and Santa Fe’s long-standing ability to attract creative minds, figures like Hemingway and Twysden were famously drawn to the city. The lounge serves bar fare, prohibition-inspired cocktails as a nod to Lady Duff, and wines with an ever-evolving menu, with a full service restaurant to debut down the line. Original tin lanterns were preserved to marry a sense of historical character and glamour within the approachable setting.

Designed for both leisure and events, Hotel Glorieta also boasts a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for all types of occasions, including meetings, weddings, and other events. This includes an expansive outdoor lawn situated in front of an intimate Chapel, and the Maravilla Ballroom for weddings and grander affairs, while The Marigold Room and Lady Duff’s Lounge can be reserved for private parties catered by the hotel.

Bullwhip Capital Partners’ 30-plus hospitality investments have ranged from 85–500 keys, including branded and independent assets, and spanning the U.S.
