3 Components to Generating Unlimited Hospitality Growth

Want to know the secret behind guaranteed, consistent growth for your hospitality company? I’m going to be honest, it’s not what most people think. That’s why most professionals will get stuck in an endless cycle of trying to bring in new clients, customers, and guests. It’s exhausting.

So, what is the secret behind guaranteed, consistent growth? Community. With an active, loyal, and engaged community, you don’t have to constantly start from 0 every month, hoping that you will meet monthly and quarterly numbers. If you build your community correctly, you’ll even have your own brand advocates, going out and bringing in new people you might have never reached on your own. Here are 3 components of building a rock-solid community around your hospitality brand:

Component 1 – Build Solid Foundations

The first step is to always figure out the “why.” Not why you want to build the community (although that is important), but why THEY will want to be a part of your community. It’s crucial to have a mission, vision, and purpose for your hospitality brand to form a clear path for yourself. This will help prevent any distractions that come along the way as you reach new heights. Having your mission, vision, and purpose will also give your target market a reason to be there.

Component 2 – Find Your Tribe

With your mission, vision, and purpose, you have everything you need to gather your tribe. All you need to do is go out and find them. The problem is, most will be focusing on the wrong tactics, such as getting caught up in endless social media scrolling or marketing hacks. That’s when distraction sets in. Instead, focus on WHO your ideal member is by asking questions, such as:

“What is the biggest problem they face?” (Such as consistent travel problems, hotel inconsistencies, or poor restaurant experiences)

“How do our guests want to feel?”

“What desires drive them and what will have them come back time and time again?”

You must go out, find them, connect with them, and make them a part of your tribe.

Component 3 – Captivate Through Compelling Content

Content is one of the best and fun ways to build your community. Content is fantastic for a few reasons. First, it’s self-selecting. Sharing your company values through social media, blogs, or newsletters will naturally draw in your ideal customers because they will relate to the information you share. Second, it’s shareable. Once content is shared by you, your audience now can share it with their friends, family, business partners, and other hospitality brands.

Lastly, content is “immortal.” Once posted, it sticks around for a very long time! Don’t post content “just because.” There should be a bigger purpose behind the content that is shared, which is why you have your mission, vision, and purpose laid out. Get a feel for what content works best for your hospitality brand, whether it’s newsletters, video, podcasts, short form, long form, etc. Once you are consistently providing value through your content, your community will begin to thrive.

Remember, build a solid foundation to build upon, find your tribe by being proactive in your search for them, and always share your company values, beliefs, and experiences! Your path to unlimited growth is right around the corner.
