Palm Springs Convention Center & Bureau of Tourism Team Receive Multiple Hospitality Industry Awards

PALM SPRINGS, CA — The best and brightest talent in Coachella Valley’s hospitality industry were recently honored at Visit Greater Palm Springs’ prestigious Champions of Hospitality Awards Gala on November 25, 2024.
Three team members from the Palm Springs Convention Center & Bureau of Tourism, managed by ASM Global, received awards in front of more than 600 industry professionals who gathered to celebrate the innovative spirit of the hospitality and tourism industry, which is the leading economic driver of the region.
Palm Springs Convention Center Assistant Chief Engineer, James Fauscette won the Venue Champion Award. This award recognizes employees whose contributions enrich the overall visitor experience through exceptional customer service. Fauscette transferred from another ASM Global facility in June 2023 and has proven his dedication to the organization through hard work, keen attention to detail and strong leadership skills.
The Rising Star Award was presented to Mike Tolle, Director of Operations for Encore Global, the Palm Springs Convention Center’s preferred AV vendor partner. This award celebrates individuals who have worked in the industry less than five years (or are under age 40) and have contributed to the promotion of tourism and hospitality in Greater Palm Springs via exceptional skills, talents, attitudes and initiative.
Rob Hampton, General Manager of the Palm Springs Convention Center & Bureau of Tourism received the San Jacinto Award, bestowed to an individual who has made a profound impact on the Greater Palm Springs tourism industry through visionary leadership, collaboration, and dedication. Recipients are champions of the region’s unique attractions, supporters of community values and elevate the area’s reputation as a premier travel destination.
