Noble House Hotels & Resorts Announces Green Seal Certification Initiative
March 6, 2023
Noble House Hotels & Resorts — the family-owned boutique hotel brand with a carefully curated collection of 25 hotels, resorts, and experiences across North America — has partnered with Green Seal and applied for certification for 13 of its properties, continuing its sustainability efforts.
Each participating Noble House property commits to achieving certification to Green Seal’s Standard for Hotel and Lodging Properties (GS-33), typically within three to five months, signifying that the property has met Green Seal’s rigorous environmental criteria following an extensive review and on-site visit. Noble House properties that have applied and are in process of achieving this sought-after certification include: Kona Kai Resort & Spa, The Portofino Hotel and Marina, River Terrace Inn, Corazon Cabo Resort & Spa, Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa, Hotel Terra Jackson Hole, Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa, The Edgewater, Sole Miami, Pelican Grand Beach Resort, Little Palm Island Resort & Spa, Ocean Key Resort & Spa, and Marquesa Hotel.
“Now more than ever, travelers are looking for proven-green destinations, with 70% of global travelers more likely to book a green accommodation,” says Stefan Műhle, VP, Regional Managing Director of Noble House Hotels & Resorts. “Working with Green Seal to certify several properties within the Noble House brand portfolio allows us to live at the forefront of wellness tourism and act as environmental stewards in the diverse communities our portfolio reaches.”
Green Seal certification is based on a rigorous, independent evaluation of hotel features, operations and processes by scientists and environmental experts. To qualify, Noble House properties must demonstrate that they:
- Protect human health and the environment by using housekeeping products that are low-VOC and free of toxic chemicals.
- Are committed to stewardship by having an environmental mission and purchasing policy.
- Conserve water through water-efficient landscaping and grounds-keeping measures and water-saving fixtures in guestrooms and public areas.
- Conserve energy with 100% energy-efficient lighting in all guestrooms and public areas and energy-efficient appliances and windows.
- Reduce waste by minimizing use of disposable food service items and seeking out reusable packaging and shipping pallets.
Green Seal certification is unique in its focus not just on environmental protection but also on health and indoor air quality. Achieving certification will validate that Noble House guests and staff can stay safe from allergy and asthma triggers while reducing their exposure to toxic chemicals.
