Meliá Hotels International Returns to Miami with First Branded Residences Hotel in the U.S.

October 14, 2025

PALMA DE MALLORCA, SPAIN — Meliá Hotels International has announced in a press release its Miami debut with Meliá Miami Brickell, the brand’s first branded residences in the city. This project was developed in collaboration with Urban Network Capital Group.

Located minutes from I-95 and the Brickell City Centre, Meliá Miami Brickell features 110 residences that blend wellness, luxury, and service. This concept offers the opportunity to experience  private homeownership with a fully serviced hotel environment. Meliá Miami Brickell offers residents and guests a curated set of experiences and tools to care for themselves and embrace a transformative lifestyle.

Guests and owners alike will enjoy access to amenities, including an infinity pool, wellness center, concierge services, and dining experiences — all within a boutique-style atmosphere.

The project’s design is committed to cultural authenticity. The common areas will be brought to life by the Adriana Hoyos Design Studio, known for its aesthetic rooted in nature and Latin American heritage. Meanwhile, the residences themselves will be crafted by Concepto Taller de Arquitectura | Interior Design.

The launch is part of Meliá Hotels International’s commitment to the branded residences model, which merges real estate with luxury hospitality. The company has already implemented this concept in destinations such as ME Dubai and Gran Meliá Villa Le Corail, and it is currently developing similar projects in and Budva, Montenegro, and the African country of Seychelles. This new development strengthens Meliá’s presence in key U.S. destinations, alongside INNSiDE New York and Meliá Orlando Celebration.

“We are incredibly proud to mark Meliá’s entry into the North American branded residences market with such a forward-thinking project, and this is an extraordinary opportunity for Meliá to become a relevant player in this country, where the branded residences model is already well established and thriving,” said Gabriel Escarrer, chairman/CEO of Meliá Hotels International. “Over the past years, we have worked tirelessly to elevate and differentiate our brand portfolio, particularly in the premium and luxury segments. Today, that effort positions us as the ideal partner for high-end residential developments that seek to combine the best of hospitality and real estate.”

With Meliá Miami Brickell, units are eligible for inclusion in a rental program, allowing them to be offered to hotel guests when not in use, creating a dual-purpose space.

Meliá has more than 125 hotels in 32 countries on four continents, with 20 more hotels in development in 13 countries. Rooted in Mallorca, Meliá Hotels International has a portfolio of over 400 hotels worldwide across nine distinct brands: Gran Meliá Hotels & Resorts, ME by Meliá, The Meliá Collection, Paradisus by Meliá, Meliá Hotels & Resorts, ZEL, INNSiDE by Meliá, Sol by Meliá, and Affiliated by Meliá.
