Hotel Washington Appoints New Additions to Leadership Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Hotel Washington announced the growth of its executive team as the iconic hotel reclaims its flagship name and is poised to introduce refreshed branding and property enhancements. Honoring its storied past, the hotel continues to cement itself as a modern luxury hotel and build upon its success with the appointment of Stephane Vogel as General Manager and Julia Quinn as Director of Sales & Marketing. Additionally, the luxury destination strengthens its culinary team with the appointment of Anne-Sophie Litzler as Director of Food & Beverage, and Frank Gray and Roberto Campos at the helm of the hotel’s dining experiences.
Stephane Vogel, General Manager
Bringing more than 20 years of industry experience, Vogel plays a significant role in the hotel’s continued success, overseeing all aspects for the historic property, including the guest and community experience while also maximizing revenue and maintaining focus on strategic goals. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Royal Sonesta Washington, D.C., Dupont Circle. Previously, the Switzerland native held executive level roles within the Kimpton family, including Area Director of Hotel Operations in the Mid-Atlantic region and General Manager of Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa and The Donovan, A Kimpton Hotel. As a result, he understands the complexity of the Washington, D.C. hospitality market and can effectively navigate the competitive landscape.
Julia Quinn, Director of Sales & Marketing
Skilled in hospitality and marketing, Julia Quinn joined Hotel Washington in September 2021 as Director of Sales and Marketing. In her current role, Julia develops and implements marketing strategies and sales initiatives to generate revenue while also creating business and brand awareness for the historic hotel. Prior to joining Hotel Washington, Quinn served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Yours Truly Hotel, which was formerly The Wink Hotel, located in Washington, D.C. Her D.C. roots go even further as she previously held positions at The Dupont Circle Hotel and The Westin Georgetown. An industry expert, Quinn has fine-tuned her hospitality skills since graduating from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. After moving from Moscow 25 years ago, she now considers herself a Washington, D.C. local.
Anne-Sophie Litzler, Director of Food & Beverage
Boasting over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage sector, Anne-Sophie Litzler serves as the Director of Food & Beverage at Hotel Washington. In this role, Litzler manages the day-to-day operations for the property’s distinctive culinary outlets, including the rooftop bar, VUE, which offers intimate views of Washington, D.C. Previously, she held leadership positions at other notable regional institutions including InterContinental – The Wharf, Sofitel – Lafayette Square and The Jefferson Hotel.
Frank Gray, Executive Chef
Making a splash in the Washington, D.C. food scene, Frank Gray comes to Hotel Washington as Executive Chef after sixteen years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company where he held titles such as Restaurant Chef, Senior Sous Chef and ultimately the Chef de Cuisine. Gray leads the property’s culinary operations and a team of passionate food and beverage professionals. Gray is passionate about not overcomplicating the dining experience and providing guests with simple and delicious food.
Roberto Campos, Chef de Cuisine
After spending over 10 years in Miami, Roberto Campos is bringing his Latin flair to VUE, Hotel Washington’s rooftop restaurant and bar. Previously serving as the Executive Chef of Grand Beach Hotel Miami Beach and Grand Beach Hotel Surfside for nearly four years, Campos joined Hotel Washington eager to bring decadent dishes and bold flavors to the hotel’s culinary offerings.
