PORTLAND, Ore. — Amaterra Hospitality Group has acquired the 85-room RiverPlace Hotel in downtown Portland and selected CoralTree Hospitality to manage the property.
The hotel is located along the Willamette River on Portland’s south waterfront. Its 85 guest rooms and suites include accommodations with river views and residential-style amenities.
RiverPlace Hotel also includes RiverPlace Kitchen and Bar, outdoor gathering areas and more than 7,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. Its function venues include a ballroom, executive boardroom, meeting rooms and riverside courtyard.
Amaterra Hospitality Group is owned by Portland residents Colleen Nistler, Werner Nistler Jr. and Marcus Breuer. The company said the acquisition is part of its investment in Portland’s waterfront and that ownership and management plan to make additional enhancements to the hotel.
Guests have direct access to nearby riverfront trails, marinas, parks and downtown attractions.
Amaterra Hospitality Group’s portfolio also includes Amaterra Winery in Portland and Amaterra Kitchen + Social Club in Bend, Ore.
Denver-based CoralTree Hospitality manages more than 50 hotels, resorts and vacation rental properties. Its Pacific Northwest portfolio includes Sunriver Resort and Suncadia.
