The Pontchartrain Hotel Appoints Thomas GM

NEW ORLEANS, LA — The Pontchartrain Hotel has announced in a press release the appointment of Nickolas Thomas as general manager. Thomas brings more than 20 years of experience, including a lengthy track record in hotel operations and guest service, to his new role overseeing the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the 106-room property in this city’s Garden District.

Prior to joining The Pontchartrain Hotel, Thomas served as director of rooms at the four-star Hyatt Centric French Quarter in New Orleans, where he managed multi-departmental teams. His career includes leadership roles at Sleep Inn Slidell, Hyatt Place Convention Center, and Windsor Court Hotel.

The Pontchartrain Hotel, which is owned by AJ Capital and managed by Schulte Hospitality Group, is consistently ranked as one of the best hotels in New Orleans by Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Choice Awards. The Pontchartrain Hotel is known as the birthplace of The New Orleans Saints NFL team and was a favorite haunt amongst Hollywood legends like Tennessee Williams and Frank Sinatra.
