April 27, 2023

New Waterloo, an independent hotel management company is announcing further expansion into new markets. The Austin-based hotel group will be taking over management for Hotel Revival in Baltimore, MD starting in May of this year.

New Waterloo currently owns and operates South Congress Hotel, Otoko, Maie Day, La Condesa, Sway, Café No Sé, Mañana, Il Brutto, and Butler Pitch & Putt. The group also manages El Rey Court in Santa Fe, NM, and Waymore’s Guest House in Nashville, TN. Along with their expansion into Baltimore, New Waterloo is slated to open Albert Hotel in Fredericksburg, TX, and two restaurant concepts in Aspen, CO, all in 2023. According to a press release, the strategic expansion will allow New Waterloo to leverage its growing platform around its mission of intentionally empowering and getting behind the choices of people and communities – building hospitality business models that sustain lasting social impact.

“We are delighted and humbled to work with the team at Hotel Revival. We look forward to supporting the people in place, as well as furthering the efforts to connect and enhance impact in their communities,” says New Waterloo’s CEO, Bart Knaggs. “The care and cause they have embedded aligns entirely with the ambitions and intentions of New Waterloo as a management company. We could not be more excited to become a part of this community.”

Hotel Revival embodies a unique style of hospitality that is as bold in spirit as Charm City itself. With 107 guest rooms, one restaurant, a cocktail lounge, and a coffee shop, the experience reflects and embraces its surrounding community. Since opening in 2018, the team at Hotel Revival has established the property as an agent of positive social change in the Baltimore community. New Waterloo looks forward to building upon this culture and reputation for decades to come.
