The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay Appoints New Director of Sales and Marketing

HALF MOON BAY, CALIF. — The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay has appointed Rosie Karakan as Director of Sales and Marketing. Karakan brings over 20 years of experience to the Forbes Five-Star resort.

Karakan joins The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay after spending over three years as Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Dream Hotel Group in Los Angeles. She has previously held Director of Sales and Marketing roles at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles and Avalon Hotels. Karakan was also part of the opening team as Director of Sales for Freehand Hotel Los Angeles. Her past experience includes sales management positions at PUBLIC, An Ian Schrager Hotel in Los Angeles.

“Rosie offers enormous value with her wealth of relevant experience,” said Mathieu Riviere, General Manager at the property. “She will be instrumental as we continue to grow our visibility and scale our sales goals.”

As Director of Sales and Marketing, Karakan will lead sales efforts for both domestic and international markets, targeting leisure and group bookings, according to a press release. Applying impactful marketing across web, digital, social media, and more, Karakan will drive ROI by collaborating with internal sales and marketing teams. Her immediate priorities involve spearheading marketing plans around the resort’s 2024 renovations as well as expanding corporate and group offerings. With her extensive sales and marketing expertise, Karakan is well-positioned to enhance visibility and growth for The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay.
