InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta Appoints New General Manager

ATLANTA – InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta announced Wednesday the appointment of George Terpilowski as General Manager to its executive team. Boasting over three decades of industry experience, the hospitality veteran will oversee all aspects of the 422-room property.

“We’re excited to welcome George Terpilowski to the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta team,” said Peter Clarke, Vice President of Americas Luxury & Lifestyle Hotel Operations for IHG Hotels & Resorts. “Considering his extensive experience across major hospitality brands and international background paired with his unwavering commitment to uphold our standard of excellence makes him well suited for this position.” 

Terpilowski’s extensive career is underscored by his experience in managing independent and branded luxury landmark hotels and resorts across the United States, the Caribbean, and Mexico. He started his career at Grand Heritage Hotels, managing The Brazilian Court in Palm Beach, Fla., The Union Station Hotel, in Nashville, Tenn.,  and The Clift in San Francisco. From there, he was appointed General Manager of the AAA 5 Diamond, Jefferson Hotel, in Richmond, Va. After joining Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 2002, he held several leadership roles including General Manager of the Fairmont in Washington, D.C., and Managing Director of The Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda with regional oversight of the Hamilton Princess, Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados and the Fairmont Mayakoba in Mexico. He most recently hails from the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston where he also had regional oversight of Raffles Boston and The Plaza Hotel and Sofitel in New York and Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square.
