January 4, 2024

GRACE BAY, TURKS & CAICOS — The Somerset on Grace Bay, a five-star resort located on more than four and a half acres of private beach featuring 53 one- to five-bedroom villas ranging from 1,400 to 5,300 sq. ft., has announced via a press release the appointment of Beverly Howell as general manager.

Howell brings more than 20 years of experience to her role at The Somerset on Grace Bay through decades of work in the Turks and Caicos tourism industry. Previously, she served as the general manager of Point Grace Resort for 13 years. She also held the GM position for the opening of Le Vele Resort in 2004, as well as for the opening of The Regent Grand Resort in 2008.

In addition to her prominent roles at resorts in Turks and Caicos, Howell also served as a director for the Turks & Caicos Hotel & Tourism Association from 2005 to 2013, as well as a director for the National Health Insurance Board from 2009 to 2013. She is a professional member of the Institute of Hospitality, the Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality, and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute — for which she holds the designation of Certified Hotel Administrator.

“Beverly’s wealth of knowledge and experience in the local tourism industry makes her an important asset to our team,” said Joseph Haviv, The Somerset on Grace Bay’s owner. “We are thrilled to have her with us here at The Somerset on Grace Bay and are looking forward to this exciting chapter ahead.”
