ADERO Scottsdale Resort Appoints Michael Valentino as Director of Sales and Marketing

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – ADERO Scottsdale Resort – the modern desert sanctuary perched 2,500 feet above the Sonoran Desert and amid Scottsdale’s McDowell Mountains – announced Tuesday the appointment of Michael Valentino as Director of Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Michael leads the resort’s sales and marketing division, where he oversees strategies to showcase the best of ADERO, ensuring a one-of-a-kind guest experience.

With a vision to enhance amenities and creative programming that take advantage of the resort’s natural surroundings, Valentino has made an impact since his arrival this summer. He spearheaded ADERO’s new partnership with REI Co-Op, integrating guided hiking and mountain biking packages into the resort experience – helping guests seamlessly access the 400-miles of well-maintained trails extending from the property. Valentino has also forged important connections with Scottsdale’s events industry, in addition to creating micro-weddings offerings for guests.

An Arizona native, Valentino previously held numerous leadership positions with regarded hospitality companies in the area including Pyramid Hotel Group’s Wigwam Resort, Classic Hotel’s Arizona Grand Resort and Prestige Resorts & Destinations where he played a pivotal role in launching profit-making partnership bookings and elevating hotel’s REVPAR growth. Most recently, Valentino served as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing at Driftwood Hospitality Management where he successfully oversaw 18 full-service hotels and resorts encompassing more than 140 sales, service and support staff. There, he was responsible for achieving $325 million in top line revenue within the Driftwood portfolio for Hilton, Marriott, Margaritaville and IHG.
