October 25, 2022

IRVING, TX—Spire Hospitality, a nationally recognized third-party hotel management company, has appointed Anna Stone as director of marketing and development of The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando in Orlando, FL, and John Schilling as regional managing director of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville Downtown in Nashville, Tenn. and The Grove Resort and Water Park Orlando.

Stone has led the sales and marketing efforts of multiple brands in focused- and full-service properties across the country. Most recently, she was with Spire Hospitality as the director of sales and marketing at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville Downtown. She is originally from Vicksburg, MS, and is grateful to have lived and worked in New York; Chicago; Charleston, SC; and Fort Myers, FL. She resides in Nashville with her husband, daughter, and two terriers.

“I’m thrilled to be back with Spire Hospitality, especially as part of The Grove Resort and Water Park Orlando team,” she said. “I’m looking forward to contributing to the continued success of the resort as well as the continued growth and success of Spire Hospitality.”

Schilling recently oversaw DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville Downtown as its general manager. He led three major renovation projects at the site during his time there. In addition to growing room income at the property, he increased food and beverage revenue by more than $6 million by altering the group mix of business and pushing outlet revenues. Cooking, traveling, watching Food Network, and being active with Ruth, his English Cream Golden Retriever, are all things John likes to do in his spare time.

“The Grove Resort and Water Park Orlando is continuing to build its team for the future,” he said. “I’m excited to be part of the property’s next chapter and looking forward to delivering exceptional hospitality for our guests and generating generous returns for our owners.”
