ORLANDO–McKibbon Places and McKibbon Hospitality recently celebrated the topping out construction milestone of Hyatt House Orlando Airport at Gateway Village. The topping out signifies the completion of the building’s structural framework with the placement of its final precast plank.
Upon completion, the hotel will feature 156 rooms and suites situated on six floors, providing guests with ample opportunity and space to unwind and connect, including a modern lobby and HBar serving creative cocktails and shareable light bites. Catering to business travelers and event planners, Hyatt House Orlando Airport will offer 2,400-square feet of total meeting space, including a 500 square-ft. gathering room and 250-square ft. boardroom, as well as an event lawn that can be used to host larger outdoor functions adjacent to a covered outdoor event deck and pool.
As with all Hyatt House properties, guests will have the option to book rooms and suites featuring separate areas to work and relax, in addition to a full kitchen with ingredients available in the 24-Hour Market. Amenities and everyday comforts of home include free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, a 24/7 workout room and on-site laundry options. Additionally, in keeping with a nationwide trend, the hotel will accommodate pets.
Conveniently located only five minutes from Orlando International Airport, Hyatt House Orlando Airport will neighbor two additional McKibbon-managed hotels, Hampton Inn & Suites and Homewood Suites Orlando Airport at Gateway Village.
Hyatt House Orlando Airport broke ground in 2019. Construction was temporarily paused in 2020, resuming in late-2021 with an anticipated completion in early 2023. Base4 is serving as the architect for the project with McKibbon Places guiding the development and overseeing the project’s general contractor, Kellogg & Kimsey. The hotel will be managed by Tampa-based McKibbon Hospitality, upon completion.
