Lark Hotels Embarks On 10th Anniversary Year With Rapid Expansion Into New Markets

January 26, 2022

Lark Hotels, known for boutique properties across the East Coast and California, is marking its 10th anniversary in 2022 by announcing a series of exciting new projects, propelling the hospitality company into new markets, particularly in the South, and partnerships with preeminent leaders in the hospitality industry.

This month, Lark announces a management partnership with the celebrated Urban Cowboy Lodge in the Catskills, New York. Beginning in 2022, Lark will handle the day-to-day hotel operations on site, allowing the Urban Cowboy team to focus on driving brand growth and signature guest experiences. Further north, Lark has taken on management of day-to-day operations for Topside Inn, a chic coastal property located in Boothbay Harbor, Maine which will reopen in May for the summer season. Lark Hotels looks forward to expanding its presence in Maine and deepening the brand’s expertise in the Northeast market.

Also in January, Lark Hotels announces two new projects breaking ground in Asheville, North Carolina through a partnership with commercial real estate development firm Hatteras Sky. The two companies are teaming up to open two new properties in Asheville in 2023: The Radical and Zelda Dearest, both of which break ground in January 2022. The Radical will open as a 70-room boutique hotel in the heart of Asheville’s River Arts District with modern interiors by the award-winning Suomi Design Works team. Zelda Dearest will debut Hatteras Sky’s Fitzgerald Estate portfolio, a collection of properties paying homage to the iconic author and artist Zelda Fitzgerald and her husband F. Scott Fitzgerald, who spent meaningful time during their lives in Asheville. Culinary programs at both properties will be overseen by local Asheville chef and James Beard finalist Jacob Sessoms. Lark Hotels’ highly anticipated joint project with New Orleans-based hospitality group Angevin & Co., founded by restaurateur and entrepreneur Robert Thompson, will officially open on February 1. The Frenchmen Hotel, named after its convenient location on New Orleans’ popular Frenchmen Street, will debut redesigned, contemporary interiors including its two bars and outdoor pool deck along with an elevated bar program introducing craft beverages inspired by the jazz music and local history. The property will be Lark Hotel’s first in The Big Easy. See a link to the full press on the property release here.
