MEMPHIS–Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis has appointed Scott Gross as the new director of operations. In this role, Gross oversees all facets of the hotel’s day-to-day operations, overarching food and beverage programs, banquets and catering, as well as ensuring guest and associate satisfaction.
A seasoned Hyatt team member, Gross brings a wealth of management experience to his new position as director of operations. After earning his degree in hospitality from the University of New Hampshire in 2011, Gross traveled coast to coast developing his leadership and expertise. Gross began his professional journey as a rooms division corporate management trainee at the Hyatt Regency in Boston, eventually moving into the role of assistant rooms manager. From Boston, he flew out west and spent time at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa and Hyatt Regency Sacramento where he held various executive and managerial positions. Prior to his move to Memphis, Gross served as the operations manager of Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort & Spa where he oversaw operations for banquets and events across the property’s 70,000 sq. feet of event and meeting space. With Hyatt Regency and Andaz brands firmly under his belt, Gross now joins a new division of the Hyatt brand with his first position within the Hyatt Centric portfolio.
