Don’t Just Capture Attention; Capture Emails

Do you feel behind on social media? Do you think you could grow your hospitality company faster if you were bigger on social media? You may have had the apps for a few years, but do you wish you would have started posting sooner? If so, you’re not alone. Every day is an opportunity to utilize social media, build an audience, and monetize that audience for yourself or your hospitality company. With the amount of competition and pressure on social media platforms, it can take a bit longer to garner the attention you may be looking for, but there is a way to grow faster even if you aren’t a big name on social media.

Capture Emails

If there is one way to get a loyal customer base, it’s through email marketing. There are so many photos, videos, and information on social media that it’s difficult to capture someone’s attention for the length of time you desire. Instead of capturing attention, capture the email. Having the email will allow you to:

  1. Reach them directly at any time you wish.
  2. Add massive value to them about your hotel, restaurant, bar, etc.
  3. Limit their distractions and focus their attention on YOU and YOUR hospitality business.

A consistently utilized email campaign can effectively garner the attention of your audience that can create massive growth without having a large following on social media.

How Do I Capture Emails?

You may be asking, “how do I actually get people on my email list?” One way to do this is to promote your website on your social media. Incentivize people to visit your website where they can book a call, visit you, or buy a product by entering in a couple pieces of information…one being their email. A second way to capture your target audience’s email is to build landing pages. Encourage people, through an IRRESISTIBLE offer, they MUST enter their name and email on your landing page to receive something of value that will benefit THEM. Landing pages are typically much easier to navigate with less hurdles to jump through. It makes it more efficient for your potential or current customers.

Is this Just a One Time Thing?

Absolutely not. The best email campaigns are those that are used OFTEN and CONSISTENTLY. You may have someone on your email list who wants to buy from you, but simply doesn’t have the funds to do so yet. If you don’t follow up with them, they will forget about you. If you do follow up and continue to provide value to them, there will come a point where that same person can now buy from you.

An additional luxury of email campaigns is that you can automate all the emails that go out. Create some content that you can send out a few times a week for a month. Repeat the process each month and highlight the changes, updates, and new products or services that your hospitality company is making and offering. This shows you are transparent and genuinely care about your customers. That is what’s most important.
