The Omni Grove Park Inn Strengthens Sales And Finance Teams With Three Top-Level Executive Appointments

The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C., has announced three leadership appointments to strengthen its sales and finance teams. Each new executive possesses wide-ranging experience in the hospitality industry.

Mariano Cainto, director of finance
An accomplished and award-winning leader with more than 25 years in hospitality finance and accounting, Director of Finance Mariano Cainto oversees financial operations of The Omni Grove Park Inn. He arrived at the resort following a yearlong turn as controller for The Fairfax at Embassy Row, a Starwood Luxury Collection property in Washington, D.C. Previously, Cainto was an independent consultant based in Florida, providing direction on accounting services for a privately held hotel company with 19 addresses across Oklahoma and north Texas. He has worked for several major hotel groups, including regional senior manager of lodging finance for Rock Resorts/Vail Resorts in Florida; area director of finance for the Caribbean, Latin America Region of Marriott International, Inc.; director of finance for JW Marriott Hotel in Seoul, South Korea; and regional controller in the Asia Pacific, Australia Office of Marriott International, Inc., in Hong Kong. Cainto launched his career in 1978 as an external auditor for an accounting firm in Makati, Philippines, before joining the 120-room Batulao Village Club, also in Makati, as accounting manager. A native of the Philippines, Cainto earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration at University of East Philippines.

Gus Tejeda, director of resort sales
Possessing management and leadership skills honed as a top sales executive at several sizable properties, Gus Tejeda leads the sales, catering and convention services teams as director of resort sales at The Omni Grove Park Inn. He arrived from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he was vice president of group sales for Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas, for five years, during which he also spent time as vice president of group marketing. He was also executive director of convention sales at Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, and director of sales at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, the city's first AAA Five Diamond, Mobil Four Star hotel. Tejeda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Zan Miller, director of revenue management
Having produced impressive revenue results at independent and chain hotels for more than three decades, Zan Miller brings his expertise to the director of revenue management position at The Omni Grove Park Inn. He arrived at the resort from the Royal Sonesta Hotel Houston, where, as director of revenue management, he led a successful reflagging by InterContinental. Miller's previous experience includes managing director at Blue Water Consulting in Houston; vice president of revenue management at Seneca Gaming Corporation in Niagara Falls, N.Y.; executive director of revenue at Foxwoods Resort Casino/MGM at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Conn.; regional director of revenue management at Harrah's Entertainment Mid-South in Robinsonville, Miss.; senior regional revenue manager of La Quinta Corporation in Irving, Tex.; and director of revenue management at Harrah's Entertainment, Las Vegas. Miller got his start as director of revenue management for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Washington, D.C. Originally from New York, Miller studied communications at Cornell University.
