Radisson Hotel Phoenix Airport today announced the April 9 soft opening of RBG, an inviting and contemporary bar-and-grill, featuring a great tasting menu filled with Southwestern inspired regional specialties. This marks the third RBG location in the U.S. for the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, following the success of the recently opened restaurant in Seattle.
The menu features classic American dishes with Southwestern accents, served sizzling from its signature grill. A few entrees that are sure to become favorites are the black angus short ribs served with chorizo potato cake; the mesquite salmon served with heirloom beans, rainbow chard and crisp bacon; and the New York strip loin served with Umbrian truffle tater tots. Diners with a sweet tooth can enjoy a selection of homemade desserts, including tres leches cake and rompope or Kahlua flan.
Executive Chef and Food & Wine Director Ivan Ruiz will be overseeing the restaurant’s extensive menu. A Southwest native, who trained in Europe and recently opened Filini Bar and Restaurant at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago, will focus on cooking from scratch with high-quality, regional ingredients that will bring local tastes and flavors to the forefront of his cuisine.
“I’m looking forward to getting back to my roots and providing guests with a menu filled with distinctive local specialties," explains Chef Ruiz. “Being a native to the Southwest, opening RBG in Phoenix allows me to create unique dishes with regional flavors that I grew up tasting.”
RBG’s beverage program is also comprised of regional specialties, including local craft beers, wine, and cocktails inspired by the Valley of the Sun. The signature cocktails include the Ultimate Margarita made with Patron Silver Tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice and simple syrup, offered for $10; or the Sedona Red Rock made with Stoli Strawberry Vodka, fresh blended strawberry puree, limoncello, fresh-squeezed lemonade, splash of soda water and garnished with a lemon wheel and fragrant basil leaf, offered for $11. Both drinks are perfect for a enjoying a relaxing Arizona sunset poolside.
RBG menu prices range from $3.50 to $14.50 for appetizers and $10.50 to $13.50 for burgers and sandwiches. Main dishes range from $11.50 to $27. Breakfast is available daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. For the busy traveler, a complimentary “Grab & Run” breakfast is available from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
