The HI Connect® Design Primer

We’re creating quite the buzz since announcing our exciting new tradeshow event HI Connect® Design, an event so revolutionary it will forever change tradeshows in the lodging business when it debuts March 21, 2012. Here’s an overview of what to expect.

It may be the holidays, but at Hotel Interactive®, Inc. we are not taking it easy. Nope, we’re too excited about planning the number one must attend event of 2012; HI CONNECT Design. The massively scaled event is scheduled for March 21 -23 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, TN. And it promises to be the most revolutionary and original event ever to hit the lodging industry space.

That’s one of the reasons we’re so excited. HI Connect® Design provides a never-ending sense of discovery, stimulation and engagement where attendees step into myriad vignettes highlighting the vision of the industry’s top designers who have partnered with leading suppliers. Now imagine a tradeshow that has only pre-qualified buyers exploring an environment that has no aisles. Rather, attendees will take a tour of hotel rooms, hang out at the spa or just sit, chat and network with colleagues in the hotel lobby, bar or restaurant. All contained in a single immersive environment. No long walks, no tired feet. The choice is yours and the choices are endless at HI Connect® Design.

The Vignette Experience

So what’s a vignette anyway? It’s a radical reinvention of the shopping and product learning experience that creates a never-ending sense of discovery, stimulation and engagement as you step into completely functional guestrooms including a variety of uniquely designed luxury, midscale, boutique, sustainable, ADA, timeshare; even futuristic and wellness concept rooms will be presented.

Imagine this; take a tour of a fully constructed guestroom while chatting with the actual designer, architect or purchasing pro that created the vignette. You’ll learn why specific elements were included to complete their vision and how our creative masterminds made the space come together to form a seamless guest experience. Discuss the latest trends employed in the space, ask them advice about projects you’re working on or are planning, or perhaps inspire each other with new ideas sparked by touring these actual fully constructed spaces.

HI Connect® Design completely changes the way design concepts are presented, how products and services are purchased and sourced, while simultaneously setting the stage for attendees to network and do business better going forward. Perhaps you’ll discover you love that new light fixture featured in one of the midscale guestrooms or the wallcoverings in an upscale room.

Well then, you’ll have a chance to meet right then and there with a representative from that company. They’ll whisk you away to a secluded area immediately behind the vignette. There you’ll sit and have a one-on-one conversation where you can learn about that product or anything else that company offers without interruption. Ask specific questions you need answered for a project you’re working on or planning. You can even make a deal right there to get that project closer to completion.

Maximize Your Productivity

Broken into different communities, HI Connect® Design has eliminated all aisles from show floor. Rather, all our vignettes will surround central hubs. Areas accurately recreating public spaces found in the hotel such as the 9,000 square foot lobby, the 4,000 square foot outdoor poolside space, 6,000 square foot spa or the 9,000 square foot restaurant. Other areas include the concierge lounge, ballroom, hallways and even pre function space.

Here too you can meet with the professionals that created these spaces and have some of the most unique meetings ever imagined.
