Hotel Interactive®, Inc. has announced that it will be hosting the third annual Lodging Industry’s Elite awards to recognize top hospitality executives, ground-breaking projects and innovative new ideas.
The three-hour event--which will take place in Las Vegas on May 4--will feature high-ranking hotel executives representing a wide cross-section of the industry from the big brands to multi-unit owner/operators, as well as design and purchasing professionals and those companies that service the industry.
Rich Viola, President and CEO of Hotel Interactive®—which was founded in 1998—commented on the growth of the event. “The Lodging Industry’s Elite enables us to pay tribute to leaders in our industry that have truly earned such recognition. As such, each year the event continues to gain momentum and recognition within the hospitality industry.”
The awards will be doled out based on initial submissions from subscribers to HoteIinteractive.com. In addition, our readers will ultimately vote on the winners from a handful of finalists in each category. The categories are as follows: Innovator of the Year; Ownership Company of the year; Third-party Operator of the Year; Purchasing Executive of the Year; Design Executive of the Year; Brand Purchasing Executive of the Year; Owner/operator Purchasing Company Executive of the Year; Female Executive of the Year; Young Executive of the Year; Hotel Opening of the Year; Hotel Conversion of the Year; New Brand Intro of the Year; and Excellence in Sustainability.
The event is designed for the industry to celebrate one another. The unique reception will include networking time as well as drinks and hors d’ouevres followed by a full-course dinner in a relaxed atmosphere where winners will also be announced. In addition, merely participating in the event will result in Hotel Interactive® contributing on behalf of attendees to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Nearly 6,000 votes were tallied to determine the winners of last year’s awards. A sampling of the companies on hand at Lakeside at the Wynn to receive awards last year include Hilton; Marriott International; Choice Hotels; Best Western International; Concord Hospitality; Chesapeake Hospitality; The Kessler Collection; Marshall Hotels & Resorts; Pacifica Hotels; and HP Hotels.
