WASHINGTON, DC—AAHOA President and CEO Chip Rogers issued the following statement about joining the U.S. Travel Association Board of Directors.

“Travel is an integral part of the American experience, and the success of the hotel industry relies heavily upon its ease and affordability. That’s why I am pleased to join the U.S. Travel Association Board of Directors and look forward to representing the unique perspective of the nearly 18,000 AAHOA members who own almost one in two hotels across the country. U.S. Travel gives our industry an excellent platform for hotel owners to voice their interests on many high-impact issue areas, and it shares the same pro-growth, pro-competition, and pro-traveler philosophies that guide so many AAHOA members. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members as we promote smart solutions to infrastructure redevelopment, boost the number of international visitors with the Visit U.S. Coalition, and fight to promote the Brand USA initiative to raise the profile and appeal of American destinations.”
