WASHINGTON, D.C., Dec. 1—AAHOA President and CEO Chip Rogers released the following statement lauding the passage of the long-overdue tax reform bill:

“With the Senate passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, small business owners are one step closer to realizing long-awaited opportunities for economic growth and freedom. This legislation contains important items that AAHOA requested on behalf of its members. Like-kind exchanges are preserved. Full and immediate expensing will be allowed. The estate tax ceiling is increased significantly. This historic tax reform creates the largest small business tax cut in decades, and owners will be better off with its passage. These fundamental changes to the tax code will empower and encourage hoteliers to reinvest in their properties, their employees, and their businesses, and to create new jobs for the American people. We commend Leader McConnell for unifying the GOP caucus, moving this landmark reform one step closer to the President's desk, and prioritizing America's small business owners and job creators.”
