PORTLAND--Vacasa today announces the appointment of Bob Milne as chief operations officer. Former President of Wyndham Vacation Rentals North America division, Milne brings deep industry experience, and will oversee field operations in support of the company’s overall growth plans. Milne will report directly to Vacasa founder and CEO Eric Breon.
Prior to joining Vacasa, Milne founded his own vacation rental company, The Resort Company, and grew the portfolio to more than 1,000 rentals. In 2011, Milne sold The Resort Company to Wyndham Worldwide.
“At Vacasa, we’ve focused on leveraging technology to improve the vacation rental management experience for our homeowners, guests, and employees,” says Eric Breon. “That strategy has allowed for tremendous growth and continual optimization. As we look to continue to enhance the operational side of our business, we’re honored to bring on Bob Milne, a well-respected and knowledgeable industry veteran in the vacation rental space as our COO.”
Milne says, “Vacasa is all about combining exemplary customer service with the power of technology and marketing, and that vision is exciting to me. In getting to know Eric and the team, I’ve been impressed with the collaborative, energetic culture they’ve built here. I’m confident that we’ll see continued growth at this pace in the years to come, surpassing upwards of 10,000 units worldwide.”
Milne lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado with his family, and in addition to visiting Vacasa’s markets frequently will travel often to the company’s Portland, Oregon headquarters.
Founded in 2009 by Eric Breon and Cliff Johnson, Vacasa now manages more than 5,300 vacation rentals in the U.S., and has expanded operations to 15 countries. Domestically, Vacasa is second in size only to industry giant Wyndham Vacation Rentals.
