COPENHAGEN, DENMARK-–NOVASOL by Wyndham Vacation Rentals announced today that it has acquired the holiday home rental company Ardennes-Etape, based in South Eastern Belgium. The Ardennes-Etape brand will continue to exist as it does today, and will be added to the current NOVASOL portfolio. Ardeness-Etape operations will continue as usual, serving as the hub for all future NOVASOL activities in Belgium.
“This acquisition is an important part of NOVASOL’s strategy to build a strong position within Europe that includes the vibrant travel markets of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg,” says Director of NOVASOL, Mr. Anders Pii. “Research shows that Belgian tourists not only travel a lot throughout the year but also spend more money on holidays than other travelers. As the fourteenth biggest outbound travel market in the world, Belgium is a very attractive market for our brand,” says Mr. Anders Pii.
Ardennes-Etape provides 1,500 private holiday homes in the Ardennes region of South East Belgium. Huge castles, authentic rural vacation homes, farm houses, traditional chalets, comfortable cottages and bungalows make up the careful selection of these high-quality holiday homes.
“I am enthusiastic about the new experiences we can give our guests,” adds Pii. “We’ll be able to offer a meeting in a castle, a wellness retreat in a rural farm house or a weekend for two in a cozy chalet in the Ardennes. With this acquisition, we increase our variety of holiday homes, especially those that cater to the upscale market.”
“Joining the NOVASOL team gives Ardennes-Etape home owners access to a new pool of travelers from some of the biggest travel markets in the world. This can potentially result in higher occupancy for owners while also delivering greater impact for the surrounding community. I look forward to welcoming more tourists from all over Europe to the many experiences of the Ardennes,” says André Offermans, founder and director of Ardennes-Etape.
