Filling a critical industry need, the Diversity Summit in Hospitality Procurement has been announced. Designed for both lodging companies and those supplying the hotel industry, the Summit will uncover how these organizations can come together, learn common success strategies and unite on future opportunities for the betterment of the hospitality community.

The Diversity Summit in Hospitality Procurement will highlight how businesses such as those owned by classified stakeholders can be more active in the hotel business. Qualifying businesses include those owned by Women, African Americans, Veterans and other groups as classified by the SBA, such as Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian Pacific Americans and Subcontinent Asian Americans.

This exciting program will be an integral part of HI Connect®, which returns to the Gaylord Opryland Resort and its state-of-the-art HI Connect® Design Studio in Nashville from March 17-19, 2016. Registration is now open at www.hiconnectevents.com.

Those looking to maximize opportunity by learning about diversity programs will not want to miss the most productive HI Connect®, to date.

Rich Viola, President and CEO of Hotel Interactive®, Inc. said this pioneering program will fill a critical industry niche that will help Diversity classified companies find heightened opportunity and success.

“For far too long companies falling under the diversity banner have been unable to properly leverage industry opportunity. The Diversity Summit in Hospitality Procurement will be that bridge thoughtful companies can utilize to fully tap into new and existing lodging industry resources,” said Viola.

HI Connect® 2015 was a true hotel experience like no other, featuring the only trade show with pre-qualified industry decision-makers enjoying the most exciting event created for the hospitality sphere. In 2016, expect an even more robust show experience, this time with groundbreaking new features such as the Diversity Summit in Hospitality Procurement and the recently announced InnDependent Lodging Executive Summit Powered by IBC.

The Diversity Summit in Hospitality Procurement ensures this year’s HI Connect® will continue to be the industry’s top event. HI Connect® is the hospitality experience reimagined. It is the only event where to attend you must be qualified and it serves as a unique opportunity to also interact with 100% real environments, or "vignettes," no booths, while connecting with business building contacts.

HI Connect® simultaneously stimulates all five senses much like independent and boutique hotels while helping suppliers and designers foster critical relationships with influential owners, developers, hoteliers, designers, suppliers and purchasing professionals. Unparalleled networking and inspiration are only the beginning of what’s to be discovered at HI Connect®.
