Marriott hotels in the San Francisco Bay Area have launched Travel Well to energize their guests’ commitment to health and wellness with exciting fitness options, an online support community and on-property fitness concierges.

Participating hotels include the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, San Francisco Marriott Airport Waterfront, San Jose Marriott and Santa Clara Marriott. Each hotel features a 24-hour fitness center, a swimming pool, and a dedicated fitness concierge to familiarize guests with recreational offerings at that property – ranging from complimentary tennis to bayside biking to in-room yoga.

AN ONLINE COMMUNITY OF FIT-MINDED TRAVELERS
Central to the campaign is the introduction of an online community, #MarriottTravelWell, to support and inspire healthy and memorable travel.
“It’s difficult to adhere to fitness goals, especially when traveling. With #MarriottTravelWell, we’re initiating a dialogue about wellness and creating an engaging travelogue where people can share destination-specific exercise routines, photos of scenic work-out venues, and personal achievements. Our hope is to invigorate travelers to stay active on the road,” explains John Southwell, general manager of the San Jose Marriott.
Guests are encouraged to become part of the #MarriottTravelWell community and hashtag their workouts when they stay at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis @SFMarriottMarquis, San Francisco Marriott Airport Waterfront @SFAirportMarriott, San Jose Marriott @SanJoseMarriott and Santa Clara Marriott@MarriottSantaClara.

FITBIT FRIDAY
Every Friday throughout the month of March, Marriott will reward one #MarriottTravelWell member with a FitBit fitness tracking device for his or her contribution to the online community.
The Travel Well package will be offered at participating hotels. It features:
• Overnight accommodations promoting rest and relaxation.
• Complimentary spa water & fresh fruit amenity.
• Complimentary access to an onsite 24-hour fitness center.
• “Fit in the City” guide to recreational activities and fitness opportunities unique to the hotel and region.
• Designated fitness concierge.

The package will be available every Friday and Saturday throughout March, based on availability. Starting prices range from $129 to $179 plus tax per night. For more information or reservations, visit www.MarriottTravelWell.com
