Hunter Hotel Advisors represented the New York City-based investment firm Stabilis Capital Management, LP in the $10.3 million sale of two South Carolina hotels.
The portfolio included the sale of the 85-room Country Inn and Suites in Summerville, S.C. and the 81-room Country Inn and Suites in Orangeburg, S.C. The Carlson branded hotels were purchased by KMI Management, Inc , a hotel management, development and consulting company based in Laramie, WY.
“Both hotels represent younger assets in a strong hospitality market, with close proximity to growing Charleston, S.C.,” said David Perrin, vice president of Hunter Hotel Advisors. “The prime location combined with the growing popularity of the Country Inns & Suites brand made these purchases an attractive investment.”
The new owners have plans to convert the properties to the new Carlson prototype which is part of the brand’s aggressive growth plan to design Country Inns & Suites to work equally in urban and suburban locations.
