Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort has appointed Thomas Inasu Director of Event Planning. In this position, he will oversee the planning, operations and execution of all meetings and events held at the iconic 478-room resort, which boasts 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.
Inasu, who joins Frenchman’s Reef with 10 years of event management experience, most recently served as Director of Events at the JW Marriott Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. In this position, he was instrumental in realigning the events portfolio from a corporate focus to an off-property segment and spearheaded the execution of major concerts for entertainers such as Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry. He also held numerous positions during his seven-year tenure at the hotel, including Banquet Manager, Beverage Manger and Restaurant Manager. Prior to this he served as Restaurant Manager at the 256-room The Millennium Hotel in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and Food & Beverage Supervisor at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards, where he implemented a new Marriott Amenity Program.
