New technologies are shaking up the concept of the traditional hotel stay; travel is becoming increasingly "digital" and guests are seeking real-time, engaging interaction with their environment. Novotel understands these new challenges and offers the latest technology to enhance conviviality, accessibility and mobility.

A host of games to relax with family, clients or on your own
PLAY, the latest innovative service offered by Novotel, is the multimedia table developed in partnership with Microsoft, Humelab and After-Mouse. It will be available at the end of this month in 12 pilot hotel lobbies around the world, including Milan, Brussels, London, Paris, Sydney, Casablanca, Dubai and Rio. Offering a wide range of entertainment including popular games such as Angry Birds, the brand plans to roll it out across the entire Novotel network by 2015.

As 40% of Novotel's guests are leisure travelers, the brand also features XBOX 360 game consoles in dedicated public areas for guest use. The service is currently available in 325 hotels around the world. Novotel also offers complimentary Kinects in 155 hotels so guests can browse and play games.

Innovation at the heart of every Novotel guest experience
Beginning at the booking stage, Novotel promises a highly connected experience. The brand is actively involved in the new personalized digital welcome program developed by Accor in April 2014. This simple and intuitive rapid check-in service offers customers the option of checking in online before they arrive at the hotel and thus enjoying a more personalized welcome. By the end of the year, more than 60% of the network, or about 250 Novotel hotels, will offer this service.

Hotels that are 100% connected
In this digital age, Wi-Fi is a determining factor when choosing a hotel. To meet consumer demand, Novotel offers free Wi-Fi to all guests in 85% of the brand's international network. The aim is to equip the entire world network with complimentary Wi-Fi by 2015.

Already 300,000 digital postcards sent monthly through the Virtual Concierge!
Implemented in 2013, the Virtual Concierge is an interactive, digital service that gives guests access to a host of additional services including:

• Recommended restaurants and cultural activities near the hotel
• Weather information
• Flight schedules
• Virtual post cards
• Novotel brand information

Novotel's virtual concierge is available as a smartphone app (Novotel Virtual Concierge Mobile App) for Android and IOS devices, allowing guests to uniquely tailor their stays.

A year after its launch, the Virtual Concierge is available in more than 250 Novotel establishments around the world, marking a milestone success for the brand.

Novotel offers a comprehensive technological ecosystem to enrich the guest experience. Since its launch in 1967, the brand's strong commitment to emerging trends will continue to offer more innovations to make every stay unforgettable.
