Travelodge Celebrates Loveable Mascot’s Bear-y Special 60th Birthday

Offers chance at Build-A-Bear Workshop birthday party, plus a $10 gift card.

Grab a noise maker and put on your party hat! This summer, the Travelodge® hotel brand is giving travelers across the U.S. the chance to win one of 60 Build-A-Bear Workshop® birthday parties, plus the opportunity to earn a $10 Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Buck$® gift card, all in celebration of the hotel brand’s beloved mascot Sleepy Bear and his 60th birthday.

Now through July 14, 2014 travelers can enter “Sleepy Bear’s 60th Birthday Sweepstakes” by visiting www.facebook.com/travelodge and registering for their chance to win. In addition to the initial entry, travelers can earn a second entry by registering for Wyndham Rewards®—the loyalty program of Travelodge hotels and parent company Wyndham Hotel Group—or, if already a member, logging into the page with their username and password. A third entry may be earned by liking the Travelodge Facebook page.

“Sleepy Bear is a mascot that’s loved by parents and children across the country,” said Caryl Porter, Travelodge brand senior vice president. “We’re excited to launch his birthday festivities by giving hundreds of children the opportunity to not only laugh and smile with their friends but create a unique and lovable teddy-bear of their very own.”

In celebration of its mascot Sleepy Bear’s 60th Birthday, the Travelodge hotel brand is giving away 60 Build-A-Bear Workshop birthday parties this summer, plus the opportunity to earn a $10 Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Buck$ gift card, just by staying two consecutive nights at a participating Travelodge hotel.

Upon conclusion of the sweepstakes, sixty winners will be chosen at random from among all eligible entries, each receiving their very own Build-A-Bear Workshop birthday party good for up to 10 guests. Parties will be awarded in the form of a $250 Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Buck$ gift card.

In addition to the sweepstakes, travelers can earn a $10 Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Buck$ gift card, simply by staying two consecutive nights or more at any participating Travelodge hotel. To receive the gift card, guests must book via www.travelodge.com, www.wyndhamrewards.com or www.wyndhamhotelgroup.com, using the rate code SFA. Sleepy Bear’s 60th Birthday Sweepstakes is open to residents of the U.S. and no purchase is necessary to enter. In lieu of entering online, travelers may also enter the sweepstakes via mail.
