The Hotel Group (THG) announced today that Jake Fischer rejoined the hotel management investment management company as Vice President of Development with a focus on growth and development of the hotel portfolio primarily in the eastern half of the United States. Fischer will leverage THG’s impressive 30-year track record and resources to establish and nurture relationships with new and existing client partners for acquisition, new-development, and third-party management opportunities on behalf of THG funds and investors.

"As a powerful and respected partner in the hotel industry, THG has consistently demonstrated its ability to provide clients investment value that goes beyond their expectations," Fischer said. "I believe in the company’s mission, vision, core values and business plan, and am delighted to return and help achieve its goals. I plan to build upon the already robust in-place foundation and aggressively grow the business based on my proven work experience.”

The Hotel Group is a nationally recognized Top 40 hotel company and currently manages and/or owns 30 properties in 10 states, representing 11 brands, and employs more than 1,600 people. Since its inception in 1984, THG has managed and/or owned 112 properties in 25 states; directed the design and construction of more than 40 new hotels; and completed the acquisition of more than $155 million in private investment as the sponsor of Hotel Group Opportunity Funds I, II, III and IV.

Prior to returning to THG, Fischer served as Senior Manager of Hospitality for MIG Real Estate, responsible for the sourcing of hotel acquisition and development opportunities, and assisting with underwriting and asset management of hotel properties. He also has previous experience as Senior Manager of Development Planning & Feasibility at Marriott International and Assistant Vice President/Manager at HVS International. With over 10 years of related real estate experience and a vast understanding of front-of-house hotel operations, Fischer is a seasoned industry professional. Fischer received a B.A. in Economics from Davidson College in North Carolina and a Master of Science in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.0. He is also proficient in Spanish as a secondary language.

"Jake returning to THG only makes our team that much stronger and we are thrilled to welcome him home," said Doug Dreher, President and CEO of The Hotel Group. "Jake will utilize his previous work experiences and job responsibilities to grow our business by way of maintaining our strong relationship with investors and capital partners identifying new opportunities.”

“Jake will also be able to evaluate strategic opportunities for development and identify real estate acquisitions in targeted areas,” stated Robert Lee, Senior Vice President of Real Estate, The Hotel Group. “We consider him to be a wonderful addition to our team and look forward to his future contributions at THG.”
