Roomer (www.roomertravel.com), a first-of-its-kind online marketplace that allows people to sell their non-refundable hotel reservations to prospective travelers searching for discounted hotel rooms, announces the launch of its first mobile app. Providing the convenience of booking affordable hotel rooms to consumers on the go, the app will allow users to search, view and book hotel reservations posted by sellers from around the world. With the touch of a button, travelers can search reservations ranging from popular, top rated hotel rooms to boutique, independent suites at an affordable price that couldn’t be found elsewhere.

Roomer’s initial launch in the mobile space will, at first, largely benefit buyers and prospective travelers. After integrating feedback from initial users, Roomer will continue to increase the app’s functionality so that it can also be used by sellers wanting to post their nonrefundable hotel rooms from the mobile app.

Booking a hotel reservation on Roomer’s mobile app will be as easy and convenient as booking on the website, with a search bar display for inputting destination, check-in and checkout dates, along with highlighted last-minute deals and top destinations.

With the heightened use of mobile in the market, this expansion further positions Roomer as a growing platform in the travel and hospitality space. This transition in to the mobile space is the next step in Roomer’s vision to reduce the $8.6 billion wasted annually on non-refundable hotel room cancellations.

“Roomer aims to revolutionize the hotel industry by making travel exchangeable and tradable in a way that has never been offered before,” explains CEO and Founder, Gon-Ben David. “With the unveiling of our app, this convenience is brought to the palms of travelers’ hands. Using the Roomer mobile app, discounted rooms can be booked from the sellers of these hotel reservations instantaneously and on-the-go.”

Roomer’s validation system ensures that each reservation is authentic; allowing both buyer and seller to feel safe and confident throughout their transaction. Once a reservation is purchased via the mobile app, Roomer transfers the reservation into the new name, allowing for a smooth and simple check-in process and sends an e-mail with full confirmation. Payment is then transferred to the seller once the buyer checks out.

The Roomer app is available on iOS and Google Play and can be downloaded here and here.
