Value Place, the nation’s largest economy extended-stay hotel brand, has announced the grand opening of a newly constructed hotel in Watford City, North Dakota, located at 4005 Frontier Avenue, in The Crossings at Watford City, a planned development to help organize the rapid growth in the area. This is the brand’s third hotel in North Dakota, joining Value Place hotels in Dickinson and Williston. Value Place has partnered with local franchisor Art Cahoon of Nakota Development, LLC to develop this hotel. The hotel will be open to the public effective May 29, 2014.
“This new location is the latest in our aggressive expansion across the U.S.,” said Andy Anderson, Executive Vice President of Business Development at Value Place. “Demand for economy extended-stay hotels is steadily increasing and we are excited to serve this previously underserved hotel segment.”
The new four-story, 124-room hotel will feature such guest amenities as laundry facilities, high-speed wireless internet, modified kitchens, and the cleanliness, safety and security that a Value Place provides to every guest.
“We have a continued commitment to create lodging opportunities for workers in the newly developing communities serving the Bakken shale industry,” said Cahoon. “Our Watford City location will provide a safe and clean lodging option for the rapidly expanding workforce in this region, as well as visiting families and other travelers to the area.”
Extended-stay hotels are an appealing option for government employees, construction workers, business travelers, and the myriad of workers serving the oil industry, since their careers require them to travel and stay for extended periods of time.
Value Place is focused on strategic expansion across the U.S. through corporate- and franchise-owned development. Over the next three years, expansion plans include the acquisition of land to build corporate and franchised properties in markets including Miami, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, and Atlanta.
With nearly 190 hotels open in 32 states, Value Place has emerged as a leader in the extended-stay segment. The company continues to garner national recognition, and was recently named one of 2013’s Top 500 Franchises by Entrepreneur Magazine, as well as one of Franchise Business Review’s Top 50 Franchises for four consecutive years.
