Hansgrohe Celebrates The Power Of The Shower With #Selecthansgrohe Campaign

As inventor of the multi-function showerhead and handshower, Hansgrohe knows a thing or two about the shower and has been innovating in the plumbing industry since 1901. Its new Select technology makes the showering experience even more personal as it allows users to choose between various spray modes. To celebrate, the company will be rolling out a multi-phase, multi-platform social media campaign entitled #SelectHansgrohe that focuses on the positive effects of the shower and highlights Hansgrohe's latest Select products. The campaign will kick off on June 1 with a month-long #SelectYourself contest on Facebook and will be followed by other interactive initiatives through the year.

#SelectHansgrohe begins with a simple question, “Where do you get your best ideas.” Hansgrohe believes it is in the shower and will fill its Facebook page with fun facts and figures, polls and images throughout the month of June. It will also invite users to chime in using #SelectHansgrohe. The #SelectYourself sweepstakes will run concurrently and offer participants the chance to become one of 500 Select Ambassadors who will win the Raindance E Select 120 AIR handshower. To vie for the prize, users must earn points, which are "unlocked" by engaging in fun activities across social media platforms. The #SelectHansgrohe campaign is part of Hansgrohe’s effort to engage its fans and followers, as well as spread the message that showering is not just an everyday ritual. It plays a key part in our overall well being, providing a soothing retreat and even sparking creativity. According to cognitive psychologist Scott Barry Kaufman, Ph.D., who has worked with Hansgrohe to study showering and its effect on human behavior, “The relaxing, solitary and non-judgmental shower environment may afford creative thinking by allowing the mind to wander freely, and causing people to be more open to their inner stream of consciousness and daydreams.” Hansgrohe’s Raindance E Select 120 AIR handshower fits the bill when it comes to creating this type of healthy showering setting. With the option of three soothing jet sprays (Rain, RainAir and Whirl) available at the simple touch of the Select button, it offers a truly custom showering experience.
