Melrose Georgetown Hotel, a reinvented Georgetown hotel that defines distinct, innovative service in a stylish, chic ambiance, announces its partnership with Cultural Tourism DC. As an organization promoting heritage, international exchange and humanities through its celebrated events, Cultural Tourism DC is focusing on its Passport DC event, which is an annual citywide celebration of international culture. As a financial supporter and home base of some of the Passport DC happenings, Melrose Georgetown Hotel held the recruitment event for the various embassies to sign up and is hosting the Ambassador Reception on Thursday, April 24th, which is typically held at Blair House.

“The Melrose hotel team have been a fantastic partner as they truly subscribe to our mission statement of building the cultural arts access in DC,” says Tim Cox, director of Cultural Tourism DC. “We are lucky to have a hotel like this in our market.”

Showcasing Washington DC embassies and cultural organizations, Passport DC features a wide range of performances, presentations and exhibitions including an Around the World Embassy Tour and the highly anticipated Embassy Chef Challenge. Melrose Georgetown Hotel’s restaurant, Jardenea, has offered their Executive Chef, Nate Lindsay, to be a part of the culinary council for the Embassy Chef Challenge acting as an ambassador for the celebration.

“We believe in the initiatives and events that Cultural Tourism DC is doing and are honored to be a part of their purpose,” says Jale Hashimi, general manager of Melrose Georgetown Hotel. “We like to see our contributions go to a program that appreciates the culture of DC as much as we do.”

Guests of Melrose Georgetown Hotel may indulge in the farm-to-fork signature restaurant, Jardenea, which revolves around being “Imaginative, Current and Conscientious” in both food selection and motif, with a high importance placed upon sustainability and as many locally- and regionally-sourced ingredients as possible. The 240 renovated spacious guest rooms and suites are filled with contemporary, D.C. inspired artwork and clean-lined furnishings, creating luxurious guest accommodations.
