The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel has announced the completion of a multimillion-dollar product improvement. The Netherland Plaza, a National Historic Landmark built in 1931, called upon interior designer Cary Benjamin of Braeside Design Group and Benjamin Brothers Purchasing to enhance the authentic French Art Deco theme while preserving the heritage and originality of this landmark property.

The property, which is centrally located in downtown Cincinnati is a National Historical Landmark and is considered one of the world’s finest displays of French Art Deco architecture.

The transformation of all 561 guest rooms and suites has been met with enthusiasm by meeting planners and customers alike. The room renovations consisted of all new soft goods including drapes, sheers, valances, chairs, sofas, ottomans, bed coverings and lighting.

Benjamin also redecorated the hotel’s award winning restaurant spaces including The Orchids at Palm Court, The Bar at Palm Court and the Palm Court Grille. The entire Palm Court received new chairs, bar stools and allfixed seating was reupholstered. The bar top was also replaced with new stone.

The massive renovation was accomplished on time and on budget while the hotel remained occupied during the renovation. Cary Benjamin, who directed the project along with the hotel staff, was incredibly pleased and honored to be part of this historic project.

Cary Benjamin commented, "As a designer, it was a honor to be given the opportunity to work on this classic, historical property. The owner and I agreed on an approach to preserve the historic architecture and enhance the elegance of the property. This was a once in a lifetime project that we are very proud of.”
