Horton Grand Hotel, located in the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, announced today that it has partnered with Stash Hotel Rewards, the nation’s largest points-based rewards program for independent hotels. As a result of this new partnership, Stash members are now able to earn and redeem points at Horton Grand Hotel, a historic hotel that once played home to the legendary Wyatt Earp.
“The rich history of the hotel coupled with its remarkable location make the Horton Grand Hotel an extremely popular choice for the discerning traveler,” said Terry Sobkowiak, Director of Sales and Marketing at Horton Grand Hotel. “We provide our guests with an experience that’s steeped in character and is unmistakably distinctive from the chain hotels in the area. By partnering with Stash, we’re now able to strengthen our bond with these travelers by offering a rewards program that’s as unique as the experience we provide.”

The Horton Grand Hotel was opened in 1986 after a meticulous rebuild joined San Diego’s two most historic properties – The Grand Horton Hotel and Brooklyn-Kahle Saddlery Hotel. Purchased by a local San Diego businessman for $1.00 each, the buildings were deconstructed brick-by-brick, catalogued and stored until being rebuilt at the current location on Island Avenue. Today, the Horton Grand Hotel offers a one-of-a-kind glimpse into the past, while also providing the modern day amenities that independent travelers want.

"Wrought-iron balconies, a central courtyard where you can have after-work drinks under leafy trees—Horton Grand Hotel has an historic elegance to it," said Jeff Low, Founder and CEO, Stash Hotel Rewards. "It's great to walk outside and be in the heart of the Gaslamp restaurant and entertainment district. It's even better to come home to this calm, well-run hotel."

Travelers interested in earning points at Horton Grand Hotel can join Stash for free at www.stashrewards.com. Stash members earn five points for each dollar spent on eligible room rates and can redeem them at nearly 200 unique independent hotels across the U.S. Stash points never expire, and redemption is simple, without blackout dates or category restrictions found in many chain programs. Stash partner hotels also provide members with access to exclusive travel deals.
