First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG) today announced that construction is well underway on a new Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott that will be owned by the Columbus Regional Airport Authority and professionally managed by FHG. First Hospitality Group, Inc. President and COO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.
The new 128-room hotel, located adjacent to the Port Columbus Authority and just 10 miles from the city’s central business district, is scheduled to open its doors this August.
“We continue to invest in hotel projects in Columbus because, as a cross section of America filled with universities, corporation headquarters and the seat of the state government, it is an incredibly strong market,” said Habeeb. “As one of the leading hotel management and development companies in the Midwest, we have a firm understanding of the unique opportunities at hand for this property.”
Fairfield Inn & Suites is a Marriott brand designed for travelers looking to be productive on the road.
